SYNATOM is a monistic structure established in the legal form of a limited company under Belgian law, with its head office at Boulevard Simon Bolivar 36 in 1000 Brussels.

SYNATOM’s capital, stands at 49.6 million euros, including approximately 25% of paid-up capital, and is represented by 2 million registered shares, which are all (except one) held by ELECTRABEL, a subsidiary of ENGIE.

The Belgian State owns a specific, “golden” share which gives the Minister in charge of Energy special rights, in particular a right to veto any decision that would be contrary to the country’s energy policy; two representatives of the federal Government sit on the Board of Directors.
